## Executive Summary

A reopened field operation in February 2025 resulted in the recovery of two sets of human remains within a wooded segment of Love County, Oklahoma. The recovered remains were subjected to positive identification processes and were formally identified as Molly Miller (female, Chickasaw Citizen, age 17 at disappearance) and Colt Haynes (male, age 21 at disappearance). The remains were located in terrain proximal to a motor vehicle crash site recorded in July 2013. Phone communications received from the victims on the night of the crash and the following morning were documented by friends until approximately 9:30 a.m. The cause of death has not been reported as determined by the investigating agency. No forensic observation available in the public release has explained why the victims ceased calling approximately 9:30 a.m.

The present record has been compiled from the BIA MMU confirmation and contemporaneous local reporting and is intended to document observable detail, chronological events, scene descriptions, witness statements, and outstanding investigative gaps.

## Background and Case History

- On an evening in July 2013, a motor vehicle operated by an unidentified driver was recorded to have entered a wooded area adjacent to the coordinates described above and was observed to have crashed into standing timber. The vehicle's final resting position was logged by local responders in July 2013 and was recorded in incident reports as being off roadway, within tree cover.

- Occupants of the vehicle included multiple individuals. Two occupants, later identified as Molly Miller (female, 17 at disappearance) and Colt Haynes (male, 21 at disappearance), were reported as missing following the crash. Reporting parties indicated that Miller and Haynes were passengers in the vehicle.

- Phone contact was documented by friends of the missing persons on the night of the crash and during the subsequent morning. The series of calls was confirmed by third parties to have continued until approximately 9:30 a.m. the morning after the crash.

- No official cause of death was reported in the initial 2013 records. Active investigative measures were limited in scope at that time.

- In February 2025, a renewed field search of the area bounded by Oswalt Road, Pike Road and Long Hollow Road was conducted by BIA MMU in coordination with local law enforcement and volunteer search teams. During that search two sets of human remains were located and subsequently subject to forensic identification protocols.
